Jay Park (Korean name: Park Jaebeom; Hangul: 박재범; Hanja: 朴載範, born April 25, 1987) is an American recording artist, dancer,rapper, music producer, b-boy, songwriter, composer, model, and actor of South Korean descent, and a member of the Seattle-based b-boy crew Art of Movement (AOM). Park rose to fame in the late 2000s as the leader of South Korean boy band 2PM, formed by record label JYP Entertainment in 2008. Park left 2PM and returned to his hometown Seattle in September 2009, after comments he wrote when he was a 17-year-old trainee in 2005 towards Korea, taken out of context and severely mistranslated by the Korean media, were leaked by a netizen who hacked his MySpace account.
