1 Night 2 Days (Korean: 1박 2일), first aired on August 5, 2007, is a South Korean reality-variety show shown on the KBS2. 1 Night 2 Days is one of the two segments (the other segment is The Qualities of a Man) for Happy Sunday. The show's members consists ofLee Su Geun, Kim Jong Min, Uhm Tae-woong, Kim Seung Woo, Cha Tae Hyun, Sung Shi Kyung, Joo Won. Real wild road varietyis the show's motto to recommend viewers the various places of interest in South Korea. Because of the similar concepts in variety shows, 1 Night 2 Days has often been compared with SBS's Good Sunday's Family Outing 2 (a 1 night, 2 day trip) and MBC's Infinity Challenge (6 men competing in games). Filming is usually done 2 weeks prior to first official broadcasting. On August 2011, the producers and the cast members had a meeting on the status of the show and they have come to an agreement to end 1 Night 2 Daysdue to Kang Ho Dong's fatigue and an offer to go to SBS as well as the other member's issues. On September 9, 2011, Kang Ho Dong left the show due to allegations of tax evasion and retired from show business. The show came to a conclusion in February 26, 2012 and the 2nd Generation began March 4, 2012.
